Is this really possible?

Yup - somehow the higher dose of procardia seems to be working for the time being. My cervix hasn't made any drastic changes from it's normal pesky self, and my cerclage is intact. I actually am getting to camp out at home on the procardia for now, and see how this little trial run goes. My OB said that I may be back within a few days - but we both are willing to give things a whirl since there is no immediate danger. I know it may not be for the long haul, and I know it'a bit of a bandaid fix that may only last a few days. But any day I get to be not at the hospital is the new best day of my life. I literally think I may be the happiest girl alive today. No doubt. And to say thank you for all of your kind words and encouragement doesn't seem quite enough. But for now just know that I appreciate it more than anything I can type into words.

I suck 100% for dropping out of contact. I do hereby solemnly swear that I will make a special point to read your blog EVERY DAY and comment when you post, and hound you for updates when you don't, my friend. :)

I'm glad, glad, GLAD that you're able to come home for a bit, and I hope that your uterus and cervix surprise you and allow you to stay safely home for much longer than expected.

Now where's that chocolate pool that we both need to go dive into? *wink*

Hi Sara, It's my firt time to visit your blog. Anyhow, having been in short-self-imposed bedrests in the past myself, I applaud you for having done that for 12 weeks now!!!

Meanwhile, may you and spot continue to hang in there!!!

Yee-Haw, Welcome Home! I am hoping and praying this bandaid fix and trial run is Super Duper Successful. Mrs.Ute just needs to accept that Lil Girl Spot's lease is not up for a few more months. I can send some Graeter's Ice Cream? I am resorting to bribery here. ((Hugs)) I bet your pup and DH are delighted to have you ladies home too.

What a sigh of relief! Things have to be going well for you to be able to be at home, so that's wonderful! I know you are more then thrilled about being home with your puppy all snuggled up on you.

I'm hoping you can stay home for weeks to come!

I'm so glad things are stable, but I hate that it feels like we're counting down the days....I really want so much longer for Ms Spot to stay in utero....

Just wanted to share that Procardia held my twins in an extra 5 weeks despite the fact that I was already 2 cm dialated. I did have two rounds of mag, once in the beginning then once the day before they were born. You get used to the side effects! Good luck, you've made it this far! Horray!!!

I know others have said this, but Procardia could give you many weeks more of pregnancy...I'm so glad you're home, and comfortable. Keep taking good care of yourself, and your little Spot.

Sara, I've been away so I missed commenting on your previous posts -- but I want to say I'm so glad you're both doing well and that the meds are working (though I know you must feel pretty awful on them!) You're right about each day bringing your little girl that much more time where she belongs :) Safely in your belly! I'm thinking good, calm cervix/uterus, gestating thoughts for you guys. Keep us posted and HANG IN THERE! You're doing great!

hey, sara! Sorry to hear you were back in the hospital with contractions. I can't believe I've missed reading your blog all week. I've been busy preparing for this hurricane, but still, I can't believe I've missed so much. I hope the meds are still helping to keep the contractions at bay and I'm glad that you are able to enjoy the peace and comfort of your own home. I'll be checking back frequently in the next couple of days. Take care and you and Spot are in my prayers.
