25wk growth scan

Only good thing about being at the hospital is that we caught another glimpse of Spot because they were concerned to make sure that she was still on target with her growth and wanted to make sure that everything still looked fine despite the recent activity.

She always seems to like to put her hand up near her face - at least she's consistent! She is about 1 pound 5 oz currently and measuring 24 weeks (we're 25 wks). So that's pretty good to hear. The higher dose of procardia seems to be holding the contractions. My old goal was 32 weeks. That seems way too far away with the recent turn of events. So I really am just doing one day at a time. Each day is huge. As long as our little girl is doing okay, I am fine for the time being.

Hi there, I don't think I've commented before, but I've been following your story for a couple of months now! Anyway, your baby is beautiful. I am wishing you all the best in the weeks and months to come. Sarah :)

Oh gosh, look at everything I've missed! Oh sweeite, I've got everything crossed for you guys!!

Just remember that even if she does decide to make an appearance sooner than you would have liked, everything will be FINE. She is viable, the steroids are on board...just hang in there as long as you can Momma!

Thinking of you so much. I hope your time in the hospital goes well and that you are soon able to do most of your bedrest at home again.

Oh boy, what an exciting time you've been having. Unfortunately not exciting in a good way. Its great that Spot is doing so well, we just have to work out how to keep that attention seeking uterus of yours quiet!

Thinking of you.

Good growth is always excellent news! I'm hoping the days go swiftly for you. I'm full of tips on making hospital bedrest easier, but I'll just keep them myself until you're a little more stable. 25 weeks is a great milestone- keep it up!

Hi! I had the exact same due date as you last year at this time when I was pregnant with my little girl, who is now almost 9 months old! I am also 5'10" like you. My daughter came four days before her due date, Dec. 4, 2007! I thought it was funny, all the things we have in common...Anyway, with a Dec. 8th due date, I know she will be ok...Good Luck!

Every day is a plus. Every day.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for at least thr third trimester.

(Oh, and the procardia was the best thing I ever got for the contractions in terms of side effects, I agree- worked the best too. I still contracted heaps, but they were much less vicious and frequent).

Sara ... oh, dear. I'm so sorry I've been absent in posting lately. Just letting you know I'm still reading and I'm sitting here sending you absolutely good vibes to keep spot in place!

Micah (my Godson) did the hand-to-his-face thing en utero too, and he still does it now that he's been born.

Glad to hear things are still going well considering the circumstances. Hang in there! You're doing great!

LOVE the picture of Spot...can't wait until she gets a real name. When is that going to happen? :)

Thanks for answering my question earlier. I pray for you and Spot on a daily basis. You are so strong, Sara and you're already the best Mommy. You've been through SO MUCH during this pregnancy and still have the best attitude.

I just love ya!

So cute!

Remember the estimations can be off - TTG was supposed to be enormous but was average sized.

You and Spot are both doing so well! Keep up the great work...and I'm with Jo, I think shooting for 28 weeks is a good goal, and not too far off. My goals keep adjusting as we go along, so just focus on making the next closest one (even if it's just making it to the next day, which trust me, there ARE days!)

Hang in there, Spot! Just wait, when she gets out (a looong time from now, right?) she will put her hand to her face in the exact same way and your heart will melt.

Love the pic of spot! I'm glad the contractions are leveling off. I hope they continue to stay manageable and you can keep Spot in there for a long time!

She's looking good! I bet you make it to 28 weeks at the very least. I am so happy for you and your family that she has made it this far.
