VSD? What the heck?

So lately I've noticed Brynn has had some blueness in her hands and feet while eating...the possible verdict is a VSD according to the docs. A lovely hole in her heart. Lovely. Well, more to come as we get things tested out. I'm trying not to get too into things while also not trying to vomit in my mouth, you know?

Sorry to hear this! My niece had this and it closed up by itself before she was 3y/o. I am hoping the same for Brynn. Hugs

Good lord! AAAAHHH! How about catching a break once in a while?

S had some blue foot and hand episodes about Brynn's age and they eventually chalked it up to immature circulatory system. The blueness seemed to stop immediately after our trip to urgent care (which the advice nurse told us was where we HAD to go IMMEDIATELY) giving me a heart attack in the process). I think S gets a kick out of making us pay the big co-pay for urgent or ER care.
Thinking of Brynn!!

Oh, dear. You guys just can't catch a break!

I hope it's small enough not to need a repair, but if it does, all appendages crossed for a smooth surgery and a thriving, growing Brynn.

Why can't you all just be left alone, already?

Hopefully, that is a worst case scenerio that you don't have to face.

Oh I hope everything is ok with Brynn. My nephew has something like that (Im not sure what they called it) and he has to get checked every 6 months unless they start seeing him turn blue a lot. I will be praying for you and Brynn.

Oh, praying for you hon! If it's any consolation, I was born with a hole which closed up on it's own and am fine now. Fingers crossed for you and Brynn

Sara -

I hope they're wrong....but I don't know what else could cause the blueish-ness??!?! Just hope they can fix it easily without complications.

Sara, what horrible news to hear and how upsetting. I hope the tests show that it isn't as bad as feared and more importantly, that it's easily fixable. Thinking of you xxx
