Almost 27 weeks - belly pictures

Well we're almost to the 27 week mark and I can't believe it! Things have been going so well this week - I'm still home and we're controlling things to a tolerable level contraction wise with the procardia. I honestly think that all the good thoughts and encouragement has helped so much. Little girl Spot is so blessed to have so many nice people offering her good wishes - someday I'll have to tell her all about it and how grateful I am that she does. I figured it's been awhile since I posted some photos - the blog was looking a little dull so here's a few almost 27 week photos.

First one is from the other day when I was getting ready to go to my doctor's appointment.

This one is from today - my husband drove me to have my glucose tolerance test and other lab work drawn. We did it on a Saturday so he wouldn't have to take more time off of work to drive me. Since I work at the hospital - our insurance covers lab work fully if you have things drawn at the facility or one of the satellites. (My main OB's office is a mile or so away from the hospital but not attached so that's why we didn't have it drawn there the other day.) Just logistics and insurance stuff.

I'm happy to say that I was spared the jittery or odd feeling some people get from the glucose test. Once inside the lab office - I chugged the stuff and it didn't taste quite as bad as I envisioned. Although I do have to say it was a tad warm, like room temperature - but what the heck - can't win them all! Hopefully I'll know Monday how that went and if I passed, as well as how the rest of my lab work looked. Also, I was a tad bit worried about the test setting off my nausea worse than normal since I've been vomiting so much lately. But I think all of the Reglan and Zofran I've been downing kept any added stomach nastiness at bay. I think my OB and I might have found the good combo by taking both of these medications to help combat the recent upswing in the upchucking department, because I have noticed a big change in the last few days since I'm alternating every other dose Reglan then the Zofran. I've been able to keep a lot more food down and am only throwing up about once or twice a day now - what a relief!

My husband has been doing a good job taking care of the few flower pots we have - which is usually a job I do. I kind of went through flower and garden withdrawal this past summer, but I have to admit he did a good with stuff. Maybe he has a little bit of a green thumb that we didn't know about? Next summer I think I'll go all out to make up for what I missed this year.

Neela has been keeping me good company still, and is curled up with me as I'm typing this. Lately I have discovered a love for white cheddar Cheeze-Its. Actually Neela has discovered a love for white cheddar Cheeze-Its and she whines anytime I eat them until I share some of my snack. So I thought I'd give her a little treat and crush some up to put in her favorite toy you can stuff with snacks. She went crazy trying to get the Cheeze-Its out, and it gave me a bit of entertainment watching her from the couch!

Tonight we watched the Golden Compass and Transformers - I guess it was a kid's movie kind of evening? Actually it's just what came from Netflix - so kid's movies it was! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'm slowly trying to check in and see what's new with everyone - even if it's at snail speed. Thank you again for all of the kind words, emails, and thoughts. I know I always say it - but it is so appreciated.

It must have so nice to up and around! The horizontal life sounds nice from afar, but upclose, it gets tiresome. You and spot are such fierce pair!

Yipeeee for 27 weeks! :) I love the pics...you are far too cute to be nearly 7 months preggers.

Glad to hear that the tests went well and that you're able to keep more food down. Duke is also a HUGE fan of anything with "cheese" in the name...Cheez-its included!

Thinking of you...*hugs*

You're doing so well!! I only wish the longest pregnancy for you, but I wanted to tell you that I found out that 3 of my students (triplets) were born at 28 weeks...and they were really small b/c they were trips. Now all are fine, in fact the boy is getting pudgy at 7 years old!!

Good Luck!

We loved both of those movies. In fact, we watched Transformers twice, and joked about naming our son "Optimus Prime."

You look great!!! And your hubby is doing a great job with the plants. Scott had to tend to ours this summer, too, but shhh...he didn't do that well. :)

Neela is SOOOO cute. I wish I had a cute little dog like her to keep me company. Gus is all boy dog, and loves his daddy way more than he likes hanging out with me.

I love Neela jonesin for the cheez its like a druggie - that's too funny and hours of entertainment I'm sure.

You look terrific, as usual. Neela is just so cute! Have you ever given her an empty two liter soda bottle to play with? Trin loves to chase those around. Trin also likes any kind of cheese crackers, particularly goldfish. She likes regular crackers a lot too.

As always you look fantastic. So glad that you've had a good week and I hope you have at least several more. Your husband is doing a fantastic job of keeping the plants growing. They look great.

You are doing great!!

Considering how nauseous you always are, I'm surprised the nasty drink didn't make you sick. Lucky you!

I'm glad you made it clear that you were going to an appointment in your pictures, because otherwise I would say you are nuts to get all dressed up and have your hair done to be on house arrest. I know that I don't get dressed as to where I would step out in public (unless of course I'm going to an appointment). LOL!

Kudos to your husband on the plants. I think you might have some competition next year. LOL.

And as always your little dog puts a smile on my face.

I'm so glad you have such a great update to share. (:
