Spot's 10 week booty shakin'

Today I went in for yet another visit with my OB doctor courtesy of the weekend bleeding shenanigans. My placenta has still decided to take up residence in the wrong area, so the complete previa is still there for now. Good news is all is well with the little Spot for now. He is now officially 10 weeks old, and I made it through the weekend still pregnant, so I guess I accomplished both my goals! The bleeding has slowed down a lot since last Friday when I was sentenced to couch arrest. Did I ever mention how slowly time passes when you are occupying the same position for a few days? Although, after returning home from Ohio yesterday, I have found new meaning in the phrase Home Sweet Home. If you must be on a couch, the best one is your own!

On a more interesting note, my OB teased me that Spot was a girl since the heartbeat was even higher than last time, clicking away at 178-182 beats per minute. He also declared that Spot was a booty shakin' baby since he/she looked like they were dancing on the ultrasound screen. The upper portion (head section) was somewhat still, but the arms were moving all around and the lower half was all over the place. Spot's bottom was moving up and down. It honestly looked like Spot had entered Dancing with the St.ars (Booty Shakin' with the Stars?), and had forgotten to tell us!

I'm still on some limited activity until the bleeding has made it's grand exit. But now that it has slowed down, I'm able to do a bit more. I'll return next week for another visit, and hopefully all will be quiet until then. If you get a chance go give evil stepmonster a hug, she got her beta results in after her IVF and they're inconclusive neither positive nor negative yet. She has to wait awhile longer and go back again! That's got to be tough. I have more to update, but for now I'm wiped out and am ready to crash into bed so that's where I'll be! Thanks again for all the positive stories and encouraging words, that's what keeps a girl going!

Woo hoo! What great news! A friend of mine had placenta previa her whole pregnancy and the baby was perfect. I think she had to have a c-section, though. I TOTALLY don't know what I'm talking about, but would progesterone (PIO) SHOTS help stop the bleeding at all? The only time I didn't bleed was when I was finally on the PIO but maybe that's no help for placenta previa. Take it easy!

I'm thrilled to hear that everything is going well with Spot!

I tend to think it's a boy. Just because he/she sounds difficult!

Shake, spot, shake!!!
Thanks so much for your words. Seems we really are riding a paralell track - which is super cool. Not that I wish for either of us to have to deal with this upset, but that we have eachothers stories to get hope from. I know I feel better when I see how well you handle things.

My bleeding has stopped, so lets hope your ute gets the messages and chills out too.

I heard you about the couch. I have been down for a week and a half! I am so over it. Fortunately I am feeling pretty good today amd hope to make it a productive day.

I am so happy to see that everything is still going so well with Spot! Now if the placenta would shake its own booty up and out of the way, that would be great! I love the pic!

Great news that Spot is such a dancing fool! Take it easy with that placenta previa!

I think couches have a special time sloooowing element. It's the only explanation as to why pregnancies go so much slower from the horizontal position, surely?

Too cute!!! My little once was dancing all over at our 9 week scan as well...it's the most amazing thing ever. Congrats & I hope the bleeding goes away soon.

Glad that all is still well with spot. The bleeding sucks and yes, I can't imagine being on bedrest long term. So hard to do things laying down.

Yay Sara! I'm so glad everything checked out ok and especially tha spot was dancing around to give you an extra boost of confidence! Just take it easy. Hopefully the placenta makes it's way to a better spot soon so you don't have to keep stressing about it!

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! I hope I can join you in the pregnancy ranks soon, but even if not, I will still be here to support you as much as possible!!!

By the way, did you mention if you would be interested in getting together for dinner with some fellow Michigan bloggers? I can't remember how far away you are. We were thinking maybe somewhere in Troy?

Your baby is so beautiful! Glad to hear all is going well! Isn't it the most amazing thing to watch the booty shaking? I'm always surprised that we can't feel all that movement yet. Let's hope that the pesky bleeding is on its way out. Behave uterus! :::hugs:::
